New Power Project Development &
Front-End Feasibility

Early-stage technical, interconnection, permitting, and cost clarity to reduce risk and accelerate investment decisions.

  • Site Assessment & Layout Planning

A project can be perfect on paper and still fail in the dirt. We focus on whether the site actually works for the plant you're trying to build.

    ##

Site Due Diligence : Evaluate site access, constructability, logistics, and compatibility with surrounding land use and zoning.

Geotechnical and Grading Interface: Coordinate geotechnical reports, grading concepts, and floodplain considerations with plant layout decisions.

Conceptual GAs and Plot Plans: Develop early site layouts, general arrangements, and plot plans that account for major equipment, laydown, and future expansion.

Access & Construction Logistics: Plan for vehicle access, heavy-lift paths, construction equipment access, and temporary laydown to avoid surprises during execution.

Utilities & AHJ Coordination: Coordinate with local electric, gas, and water utilities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to interpret and apply local codes, air/wastewater requirements, and encroachment and connection constraints in the plant design.

    ##

  • Permitting & Environmental Interface

We don't replace your environmental consultant, we make them more effective by ensuring the plant design and environmental strategy are aligned from day one.

    ##

Permitting Strategy and Roadmap: Identify key permits and approvals (air, water, noise, encroachments, etc.) and how they interact with project schedule.

Technical Inputs to Permits - Provide plant design data and assumptions needed for air, water: and noise permitting, and support responses to agency questions

MND/EIR and Agency Documentation support - Contribute technical content for MND/EIR (or similar) documents from a plant and utility systems perspective.

‍‍Impact Mitigation Strategy - Help define practical design-based mitigations (layout equipment selection, noise control, routing) that can satisfy agencies without blowing up cost.

Stakeholder & Agency Interface - Participate in technical discussions with local agencies, legal leams and stakeholders to keep design and permitting aligned.

  • Grid, Fuel & Water Interconnections

    Interconnection & Utilities

    ##

‍‍Electrical Interconnection Screening: Early evaluation of transmission capacity, constraints, and potential upgrade triggers, with direct coordination with ISO/RTOs and local utilities.

Interconnection Applications & Studies: Technical support for application packages and review of utility / ISO study results to understand cost, schedule, and risk impacts.

    ##

    Fuel Gas Supply

    ##

Gas Supply Option Evaluation : Review supply options, pressure, and capacity to confirm viability for the proposed plant configuration.

‍‍Utility & Midstream Coordination: Interface with gas utilities and midstream providers on tie-in points, metering, and pressure control requirements.

Tie-in Routing and Concepts: High-level routing, tie-in concepts, and pressure-control strategies suitable for early-stage planning and cost estimates.

    ##

    ‍‍Water Supply & Wastewater Handling

    ##

Water Source Evaluation: Assess potable, process, and cooling water sources and constraints.

Water Balance & Demand Estimates: Develop raw and demineralized water demand estimates and project water balance for concept-level design.

Wastewater, Blowdown & Stormwater: Define conceptual strategies for wastewater, blowdown, and stormwater handling and coordinate with municipal and industrial providers

  • Major Equipment Strategy

Major equipment often sets the critical path of a new project. We help you choose the right technology and supplier-and lock in a realistic plan to get it on-site when you need it.

    ##

‍‍OEM Screening & Long-Lead Strategy: Identify and pre-screen major equipment OEMs (turbines, HRSGs, BESS, transformers, solar racking/panels, etc.) and align procurement with schedule constraints.

Technical Specifications & RFQs: Develop technical specifications and datasheets that clearly define performance, interfaces, and scope for RFOs.

Bid Evaluation & Negotiations Support: Provide technical support to compare bids, clarify exceptions, and support contract negotiations from the owner's perspective.

Conceptual Plant Configuration: Perform high-level technology and configuration screening, including simple performance and cost comparisons, to support early investment decisions.
